UPDATE: 1st of December 2015

It’s been a very busy week for everyone at Re-Act, as winter starts to hit Europe hard we stepped up our work collecting, hand sorting and dispatching the amazing amount of donations from all over Scotland.

Some of our achievements last week…

  • Over a container’s worth of waterproofs made for the Scottish oil industry shipped from a manufacturer in Holland to Greece.
  • Two containers of donations to Turkey.
  • Excess toiletries to local Woman’s Aid. (We go out our way to find a home for everything rather than consign anything to landfill)
  • Hundred’s of hygiene packs made up for distribution.
  • Successful fundraising events including a ceilidh and more support from Loretto School. Please check the Events Page for up and coming fundraisers!
  • After our successful Facebook drive for items for a newly arrived family we now have procedures in place to help more as they arrive when working with our partners.
  • Our third caravan has arrived in Calais, along with specific items requested by the teams on the ground there, on the return journey the team will pick up a huge food donation in London over to the Isle of Bute for the newly arrived refugees there.
  • While our partner Edinburgh Cares was in Turkey we donated £1,500 to enable the purchase of food, water and medical supplies.

To help support us with monetary donations to keep the work we do going please donate what you can.
